Earth Tool Company LLC (Earth Tool), manufacturer of HammerHead trenchless products, announced the addition of the 20" HammerHead Mole® Rammer to its product line. This new Rammer is versatile and can be used for HDD Ram assist, pipe ramming and pipe bursting applications.

Applications:

•  HDD Ram Assist projects including washover casing installation, pipe or drill stem extraction, and ram assist to overcome hydrolocked or stuck bores. The rammer is designed to assist HDD rigs from 150,000 to 1,000,000 pounds.

•  Pipe ramming projects installing casings from 20 to 48 inches in diameter distances of more than 150 feet.

•  Pneumatic Pipe Bursting projects from 22 - 30" in diameter.

Tool Specifications: The new HammerHead Mole rammer is 20" in diameter, weighs 5,750 pounds and delivers more than 870 tons of force when traveling at one foot per minute. The tool delivers 190 blows per minute and comes standard with the patented Air Reverse system for quick and easy removal from ram collars.

Availability: When problems arise on an HDD project, quick reaction time and expert technical assistance by phone and on-site are critical. A stuck bore is very costly - letting it sit increases the cost. HammerHead in partnership with Vermeer maintains a regionally based rental fleet of rammers and new equipment for pipe ramming, HDD assist and Pipe Bursting projects.
