The Hawkeye™ HDD tooling connection features a breakthrough quick-threading tapered thread profile that compensates for wear, and has superior load-bearing and tensile load-carrying capabilities. An octagonal torque sleeve allows for easier flat alignment and an optional torque collar water gallery provides lubrication in front of the collar while backreaming. Access slots are available for ease of torque collar removal, while the cap screws secure the collar away from abrasive wear. It’s unique, wear compensation provides for greater steering control over the life of the tool.
