The HammerHead^® TriHawk^® IV drill bit is designed for use in heavy, overburdened cobble or fractured rock and machined from high-grade alloy steel and engineered to reduce vibration back to the machine in these demanding conditions.

Chisel carbides serve to cut and fracture a clearance space for the drill housing. Composite carbide grit applied along the bit’s radial edge protects the carbide base from washout. Water ports are placed back from the face to reduce plugging.

Steering
Wide dual-angled steering plane allows for controlled carve steering.

Smooth cutting
Increased blade clearance relief promotes smoother rotation drilling.

Wear resistance
All key wear areas have strategically placed carbide that assists in pulverizing the soil and allows for easier flow out of the bore hole.

Reduced operating costs
The boltless modular design of the square drive spline allows for interchangeable bits.

Bit adaptors
Because of the TriHawk front high torque square drive spline, tooling can be changed quickly. TriHawk bits or bit mount attachments are installed by simply removing roll pins, sliding off one style of bit, sliding on another and reinstalling the roll pins. Indexing the steer plane to the transmitter is automatic when installing the bit.
