The HammerHead® HB125 static pipe-bursting system offers contractors one machine that is versatile enough to replace a wide range of water, sewer and gas pipelines ranging from 6" (150 mm) to 20" (500 mm). Design with production in mind, the HB125 offers 125 tons (113 tonnes) of pulling force, more than its direct competitor.

High production
Simple one-man operation, on-board rod basket and 19-second rod payout allows the HB125 to complete a 400' (123 m) job including payout and pullback in only three hours.

Hydraulic stabilizers
Five hydraulic leveling and rear jacks adjust to place the machine on grade and aligned with the existing utility. Adjustments can be made during the burst as conditions change without stopping the burst process.

Proven rod design
HammerHead uses a heat-treated alloy rod that is the lightest in its class. The API-style joint handles thrust loads encountered when pushing around sweeping bends and encrusted or collapsed pipes compared to loose joint rod designs, which can buckle in encrusted or collapsed pipes.

Rotational torque assist
HammerHead offers the only pipe-bursting machine that combines thrust and rotational torque during payout allowing you to push and rotate through collapsed or encrusted pipes.

Rod lock vice
Standard feature on HammerHead static-bursting systems, the rod lock device places constant tension on pipe string eliminating rod rebound and increasing production.

Auto rod spinner
Quickly makes and breaks joints with 800 ft-lb (1085 Nm) of torque and increases overall production.

Accessories
HammerHead offers an extensive line of tooling for various types of pipe replacement projects. Ductile slitters are available to replace nonfracturable pipes such as ductile iron and steel.
