Active Head Piercing Tools
Available in 2” (50 mm), 2 1/2” (65 mm) and 3” (75 mm) models, HammerHead Active Head® Mole piercing tools are specially designed to perform in adverse ground conditions. The double strike system utilizes the initial impact force to increase production in difficult soils like cobble, hard clay and hardpan. The striker impacts the bit shaft first, driving the stepped head forward. Second, the striker hits the front of the tool, driving the body forward and resetting the bit shaft.

Engineered to reduce operating costs, HammerHead Active Head moles have fewer parts. There are no springs to wear out or break. The specially designed head/body retaining system and replaceable wear rings on the bit shaft and head promote longer life and sustained performance levels.

Power Port Reverse
Available Power Port® reverse mechanism is a field proven reversing system which allows the operator to reverse the direction of the tool with just a quarter turn of the air hose. While in operation the Power Port stays locked into position.
